What to do Incident Response

“First question every time: Is the area safe?
If it’s not:

Follow evacuation procedure

Call 000 if needed
We don’t try to fix dangerous situations — we remove people from them.”
“Next: Is anyone hurt?
If no:

Still report it
If yes:

Stay with them
-
Get help- who are your safety people onsite? If no first aiders onsite what do we do? Call 000
“Next: Is it serious?
If yes:

Call 000 immediately
If no:
-
Basic first aid
-
Keep them calm
-
Don’t leave them alone”
“If they need further treatment or time off:

It becomes workers comp
-
That gets escalated to management
Your job is just to report it properly.”
