CAMPING GUIDE

Camping & Exploring Around Karratha

Here in Karratha, we are fortunate to live and explore on the land of the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi people. The Pilbara is home to over 700 Indigenous archaeological sites and more than one million rock engravings, some dating back over 30,000 years. It is a landscape of deep cultural significance and striking natural contrasts.

From the white sands of the Dampier Archipelago and the Mackerel Islands to the rugged red gorges of Karijini, the region offers something truly unique. The peak tourist season runs from April to October, when temperatures are milder and conditions are ideal for camping and outdoor adventures.

A Note on Flies & Conditions
