2. Restart the EFTPOS Terminal and POS
1. Shut down tower on the computer. Use Ctl+alt+del if needed
2. Remove the EFTPOS terminal from the charging cradle.
3. Flip over base, remove plastic panel
4. Disconnect the power cord from the charging cradle.
5. Turn off computer
6. Press and hold func +clear on the eftpos terminal
7. Re-plug in the base
8. Turn computer on
Once both the computer and EFTPOS terminal have fully started:
1. Press func > 102 >enter
2. Open Tower POS.
3. Test an EFTPOS transaction.

Switching the EFTPOS Terminal to Standalone Mode
In Standalone Mode, the EFTPOS terminal works independently from Tower POS. Transactions will not automatically appear from Tower and must be processed manually.
On the EFTPOS Terminal
- Press Function.
- Enter 2.
- Press Enter.
- Enter the password 0240.
- Press Enter.
- Change GPRS to None.
- Press Enter to save.
- Press Cancel to exit the menu.
On the POS Computer
- Open Tower.
- Go to Setup.
- Select Point of Sale.
- Open Terminals.
- Untick EFTPOS Machine Attached.
- Save the changes.
The terminal will now operate in Standalone Mode.
Returning the Terminal to Integrated (Linkly Cloud) Mode
Once Linkly communication has been restored:
On the EFTPOS Terminal
- Press Function.
- Enter 11112227.
- Press Enter.
- Press Enter.
- Press Enter.
- Press Enter.
- Restart the EFTPOS terminal by holding Function + Clear.
On the POS Computer
- Open Tower.
- Go to Setup.
- Select Point of Sale.
- Open Terminals.
- Tick EFTPOS Machine Attached.
- Confirm PC-EFTPOS / Linkly is selected.
- Confirm the correct Terminal ID (TID) is displayed.
- Save the changes.
Final Checks
- Press Function → 102 → Enter on the EFTPOS terminal to ensure it is logged on.
- Open Tower POS.
- Process a small test transaction (or a balance enquiry if appropriate) to confirm the terminal is communicating with Tower.
